Senior Family Time Supervisor / Care Manager | 8884 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £31,537 to £33,699 per annum | Grade G | Great Yarmouth

Our Community Assessment and Family Time and Service delivers Family Time for Looked After Children and community assessments for families during both pre-proceedings and proceedings. Our aim is to enable more children to remain at home safely with their families, and where they are not able to remain at home, help build safer relationships, promote risk sensible practice and support reunification.

As a Senior Family Time Supervisor, you’ll be responsible, alongside the Centre Manager, for supervising and assessing Family Time between child(ren) and/or young people who are at risk of significant harm and promoting the service to focus on the child(ren)s security and promoting their well-being. You will also play a key role in delivering a Community Assessment service. This role will involve direct line management of staff, providing supervision and ensuring a high quality service is delivered at all times.

To work as part of the locality team alongside a range of other professionals including Social Workers, Health Visitors, CAMHS, Educational Psychologists, special educational needs services and education providers. To align services to meet the needs of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Encourage and develop innovative solutions in family work, both as a whole family and for individual family members using a Signs of Safety methodology that values and promotes family participation.
  • Risk assessed and remotely supported lone working will be a feature of the role, managing adherence to NCC Lone working policies and guidance is essential in this role.
  • Undertaking bespoke 8-week assessments, by working in parallel with the child’s assessing Social Worker.
