Senior Estimator

Location: Fully remote role - South of M62 (e.g. Sheffield Nottingham Warrington area preferred)

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join our Landscaping team – a pivotal role in driving growth and supporting the success of our projects nationwide.

What you’ll do

As Senior Estimator you’ll play a crucial part in winning new work and delivering accurate competitive tender submissions. You’ll combine your commercial acumen with technical expertise to achieve excellent conversion rates and strong margins.

This is a fully remote role giving you flexibility and autonomy to manage your workload from home with occasional site visits and meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to prepare detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, sub-contractors, designers, engineers and architects to gather all necessary pricing and project information.
  • Review and evaluate designs to identify value engineering opportunities and propose alternative materials or methods where appropriate.
  • Prepare and compile detailed take-offs and data to support timely and accurate bid proposals.
  • Produce comprehensive tender handover documents outlining key strategies, risks, opportunities and resource plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to Estimating Assistants and Administrators helping them perform effectively across projects.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company, client and supplier information is always maintained.
  • Work flexibly and proactively adapting to workload demands while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
About you

You’re an experienced Estimator within landscape construction, groundworks or drainage – ideally with exposure to sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS). You combine technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and a proactive hands‑on approach.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Motivation to succeed and deliver high‑quality results independently.
Tools & Systems

Experience with On‑Screen Take‑off, Microsoft Office and pricing software is essential. Familiarity with Bluebeam and Valesco software is desirable.
