Adur and Worthing Councils are two distinct local authorities working together in partnership to deliver shared services. The private housing sector provides an important proportion of the housing stock and it is essential to ensure that the accommodation is safe and appropriate to meet the needs of local residents. This post is seeking an environmental health officer who will carry out the full range of activities within the discipline and will be specifically responsible for private sector housing standards and compliance including licensing and enforcement, leading a small team to deliver this function, with the support of the Private Sector Housing Manager.
The successful candidate will be subject to a Standard DBS check.
