TheRole

We are seeking a SeniorElectricalEngineer to join an Estates and Facilities Management team, ensuring premises are safe and compliant for patients, staff, and visitors. You will lead on operational management of engineering infrastructure and maintenance teams, supporting the Deputy Head of Estates and driving forward the FM Transformation Programme.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing Hard FM services across Trust sites.
  • Managing electrical systems (LV/HV), water safety, ventilation, medical gases, lifts, pressure systems, and asbestos.
  • Leading compliance with statutory requirements, HTM/HBN guidance, and best practice.
  • Driving sustainability, energy efficiency, and backlog maintenance reduction.
  • Providing expert advice on complex estates matters and supporting strategic planning.
  • Full line management responsibility for estate teams.
AboutYou
Essential qualifications and experience:
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Professional engineering qualification (e.g., IET, CIBSE, IHEEM).
  • Extensive experience in estates operations within healthcare or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of HTMs, HBNs, Health & Safety legislation, and CDM regulations.
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
Desirable:
  • Membership of a Chartered professional body.
  • Completion of Authorised Person courses.
