Take the Lead on Highways and Active Travel Projects That Matter

Are you ready to step up and take ownership of project delivery while helping shape the future of transport infrastructure? We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Highways and part of Travel team within the UK&I Transportation Practice.

This role offers a great opportunity to work on a wide range of impactful projects across the Midlands and beyond from local authority improvements to nationally significant frameworks. You’ll work closely with our office lead to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, while taking a hands-on role in delivering projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business growth.

Your Purpose
  • To delivery of highways and part of travel projects, ensuring quality, budget, and programme targets are met.
  • Support the office in day-to-day management of the team, helping to balance workload and maintain a positive team culture.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and early-career professionals.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is valued.
What you can bring
  • A civil engineering background with demonstrable experience delivering highways or local infrastructure projects.
  • Solid technical knowledge and a reliable, hands-on approach to project management.
  • A team player with strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward supporting colleagues and developing others.
  • Experience working with local authorities or on framework-led programmes is highly desirable.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is required.
