Overview

An Electrical Estimator / Senior Electrical Estimator is sought for a multi‑million pound award‑winning M&E contractor, based in the West Midlands with a hybrid working model. The role involves working on containment installation schemes and ensuring high‑quality tender delivery.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate take-offs/measures of tenders and be proficient with estimating software to ensure the prime cost of the project is fully understood.
• Prepare detailed and completed tenders, including installation times, and review projects after completion for quality and accuracy on future bids.
• Vet suppliers and subcontract enquiries while working with specialist subcontractors and assessing quotations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the market regarding pricing, competition and volume of work to ensure consistently competitive estimates.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly, taking a methodical approach to work.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as an Electrical Estimator, with containment installation schemes typically ranging from £10M to £20M+.
• Strong background in commercial and industrial electrical estimating for buildings; consideration given to candidates from fit-out or other construction‑related estimating backgrounds.
• Experience using estimating software and a track record of providing detailed and accurate tenders.
