Overview

Role – Senior Ecologist
Location – Shropshire
Salary - £DOE

We are searching for a Senior Ecologist for a multidisciplinary consultancy based in Shropshire. They have been established for over 20 years and employ a team of ecologists, arboriculturists, landscape architects who have been involved in a wide range of interesting projects across the UK. Their ecology team carry out all aspects of ecological surveying and environmental management and have an excellent understanding of the UK planning system so they can deliver practical ecological solutions to their clients.

Key requirements

• A degree in Ecology or closely related subject
• At least 4 years’ experience
• Full CIEEM membership or close to gaining full membership
• Excellent ecological surveying and report writing skills and attention to detail
• At least Level 1 bat & GCN licences
• A good understanding of the planning system;
• An excellent understanding of BNG
• Excellent project management skills
• A full UK driving licence
