Overview

You’ll take the lead on designing multiple product ranges, with a focus on overseeing our Girls department. Working closely with the Design Manager, you’ll manage and inspire a team while delivering exceptional, on-brand creative ideas and outputs. You’ll ensure cohesive collections across categories, creating distinctive, balanced products that delight our customer. A brilliant eye for colour, print and design is essential, along with a passion for reflecting Boden’s brand values in everything you create.

Location: 4 days per week based at our North Acton Office.

What You Will Do

• Following the seasonal strategy to design unique and innovative ranges for our customer.

• Lead the team as well as upward management.

• Attention to detail and accuracy are important from sketch stage to production.

• Gain inspiration and innovative design ideas from a variety of sources to ensure unique Boden product.

• Strong delegation skills, time management and prioritisingwork load essential.

• Regular presenting of ranges to senior teams as well as involvement in building ranges.

• Ability to edit and show concise ideas as well as self-evaluation and problem solving.

• Maintain critical path dates and ensure deadlines are met including within immediate team.

• Produce & check detailed technical CAD drawings and development/artwork packs.

• Be involved in approvals at all stages from development to production, including washes/fabrics/techniques.

• Maintain strong relationships with Product teams.

• PLM management including, uploading of tech packs, colours, and creating BOMS.

• Strong fabric, technique/process and fit knowledge essential.

• Regular comp shop and inspirational shopping trips.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant experience at Designer or Senior Designer level

• Excellent knowledge of competitor & aspirational brands.

• Excellent eye for colour/print/design.

• Excellent CAD skills including Adobe Illustrator.

• PLM experience preferable.

• Ideally a BA hons Fashion Design/Print/Illustration/Textiles.

• Management experience required.

• A proactive attitude towards all aspects of work.

• Delegation, negotiation and influencing skills are key to this level.
