Salary : £42,839 - £47,181 per annum (Grade 8)

Hours : 36.66 per week

Location : Spindles Shopping Centre, George Street, Oldham, OL1 1HD

Role Overview

Working in Oldham as a Senior Data and intelligence Analyst for Children’s Social Care, you will drive forward improvements by developing reporting tools and delivering insight. This will enable us to understand and address the changing needs and demands of our communities, particularly in the context of challenging times for local public services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To produce dashboards, forecasts, plans, reports, bulletins and presentations for a range of stakeholders
  • To develop and deliver tools and guidance to drive a culture of evidence-based decision making across the organisation
  • Develop and use appropriately, Business Intelligence systems to capture, QA, analyse, and report on data and key activity
  • To manage relationships with stakeholders inside and outside the organisation acting as a key adviser on issues of data, intelligence and insight and gathering requirements to meet organisational objectives
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will be able to :

  • Ability to analyse, interpret and report on complex data, intelligence and insight from a variety of sources to meet the needs of the organisation
  • Ability to contribute to establishing and developing interrogation script for large databases and working knowledge of using data.
  • Good working skills in SQL / python or other query language i.e. able to write script as well as interpret other script in developing reports from large databases including from the base tables
