Job description

Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Cost Managers with a proven track record and experience across the Power sector. Your experience of delivering projects in Distribution, Transmission, Renewables or other technologies will be key in delivering on our clients' ambitions.

As a Cost Manager at Turner & Townsend, you will have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients, develop your consultancy skills, and diversify your sector experience. We support hybrid working and a forward-thinking approach. Part-time applications are also considered. The role requires presence in client offices 2/3 days a week in Ipswich or Sizewell.

Job Objectives:
  1. Operate at a suitable level of qualification and experience in Cost Management.
  2. Administer various contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
  3. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting to completion within budget.
  4. Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely and correct applications.
  5. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project KPIs, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  6. Manage contract changes effectively, maintaining governance and best practices.
  7. Improve forecast and budget accuracy, adhering to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

  • Experience with Contract Management (NEC3, Option C or NEC 4 preferred).
