Overview

We’re growing our construction business to seize exciting opportunities in the UK and international markets. You’ll lead on underwriting CAR/EAR risks, focusing on large and complex projects like power generation and heavy industry. Working closely with brokers, clients, and Aviva teams, you’ll drive disciplined growth and deliver technical excellence. You’ll also play a key role in developing junior underwriters and representing Aviva as a trusted expert in the marketplace.

What you’ll do

• Underwrite CAR/EAR risks across UK and international markets.
• Build strong relationships with brokers and clients, negotiating effectively.
• Shape portfolio strategy and identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with risk engineers, claims, and other internal teams.
• Mentor and train junior underwriters, sharing your expertise.

Skills and experience we’re looking for
