Senior Commercial / Contracts Consultant

Diafora are recruiting for an experienced Senior Commercial and Contracts Professional to join our established team based at our offices in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

This is a full time permanent position.

Job Summary

No Two days will be the same for our Senior Consultants, but your general responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end development process for large scale projects, from initial concept through to completion
  • Developing and communicating project objectives, strategies, and timelines to ensure alignment among internal teams, stakeholders and partners
  • Providing strong leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary professional teams, to ensure project milestones are met
  • Evaluating potential risks and opportunities and advising on overall deliverability to our clients.
  • Facilitating commercial team meetings and managing the commercial administration of a Project.
  • Ensuring the management of professional teams is in line with the scope undertaken, fee allocated and potential risk of scope creep
  • Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions and delays
  • Providing commercial management and contract administration services across a variety of projects from inception to completion
  • Preparing, regulating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
  • Experience in various forms of procurement and contracts to be able to advise clients
  • Administering JCT construction contracts and development agreements, including chairing meetings
  • Valuing work completed on-site and certifying payments
  • Assessing cost variations
  • Preparing cost reports and cash flows
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts
  • Assessing and agreeing extension of time and loss and expense claims
  • Management of handover process in line with client specific requirements and ensuring all regulating requirements/ legislations are adhered to
  • Mentoring our Graduate Commercial Contracts Consultants in delivering our scope of services and achieving their own professional career goals
  • Responsibility for general business growth and development
