Overview

As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will be providing technical leadership within Cloud Engineering projects and programmes working at the forefront of enabling secure, scalable and mission-critical cloud capabilities. Day-to-day, you will work closely with project managers and supporting the development winning proposals and the delivering cloud solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Leading project teams to deliver solutions, managing and guiding junior staff to deliver solutions for new and existing customers
  • Providing technical leadership for the delivery of programme, project and bidding activities
  • Supporting the development of cloud staff in their technical disciplines and supporting resourcing decisions
  • Developing design certifications, technical delivery plans, high level documentation, detailed design documentation and testing schedules
  • Understanding marketing requirements and future technology developments applying them to technical solutions
  • Performing complex engineering/technical assignments developing creative and practical solutions to customer problems
  • Previous experience as a Cloud Engineer with a strong knowledge of AWS cloud services
  • The ability to develop and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring or managing technical delivery teams
  • The ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicating with non-technical audiences
  • Previous experience working within Agile Delivery environments
  • Proven experience delivering cloud projects end-to-end
