Job description
Role Overview

We are looking to recruit a Senior Clinical Practitioner who is a registered health professional to join our growing team. You will have extensive experience of working with children and young people with emotional and mental health difficulties, alongside experience of delivering supervision and leadership skills. You will be expected to support the provision of high quality care to children, young people (CYP) and their families, and to offer clinical leadership across the service. You will also be a part of the wider services leadership team, contributing to service development and partnership working. The MMST offers early intervention mental health support to children, young people, and their families within schools, colleges, and education provisions across Leeds. We are continually growing and supporting a newly developing workforce of EMHP's.

Responsibilities
  • Hold a small caseload of CYP offering evidence-based low intensity CBT interventions to address their needs.
  • Work with education settings, offering consultation, advice & training to education staff.
  • Provide clinical supervision, caseload management supervision & day-to-day clinical leadership to the team; support clinical decision‑making.
  • Support the Clinical Team Manager with clinical leadership to the team, attending team leadership meetings and contributing to wider service innovation.
  • Participate in multi‑disciplinary team meetings, group supervision & link in with the CYPMHS teams.
  • Lead key meetings, partnerships with external agencies & other teams within LCH.
  • Support development & research projects within the service.
Qualifications
  • Registered health professional with substantial experience in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Experience delivering supervision and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication & engagement skills.
  • Commitment to improving service delivery.
  • Knowledge of the education system.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting.
