SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW

We are inviting applications to fill our Senior Clinical Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Urology which is full-time fixed-term for 12 months.

Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and must hold MRCS at the time of application. Candidates should preferably hold the FRCS(Urol) or equivalent. The successful candidate will be able pursue sub‑specialty post‑CCT level training in Andrological Urology.

Main Duties of the job
  • To perform clinic duties appropriate to the post. These include attendance at outpatient clinics, day‑case and inpatient theatre lists, clinical meetings including MDTs and maintenance of appropriate records of treatments, including the dictation of clinical notes and letters.
  • To contribute to the teaching of nursing, undergraduate and junior medical staff.
  • To contribute to post‑graduate teaching.
  • To perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant, in consultation, when practicable, with both senior and junior colleagues, with an exceptional commitment and not on a regular basis.
  • To review the specific job plan regularly with the consultant.
  • To contribute to a 1:9 on‑call rota.

    Experience
    Essential
    • 1 year experience in Urology after full GMC registration or equivalent, and evidence of achievement of foundation competences, in line with GMC standards / Good Medical Practice.
    • Ability to provide complete details of employment history.
    • Evidence that career progression is consistent with personal circumstances.
    • Evidence that present achievement and performance is commensurate with totality of their period of training.
    • Post CCT in Urology.
    • Evidence of previous Andrology experience.
