A leading healthcare provider in Basingstoke is seeking experienced Critical Care doctors to support patient care in a dynamic environment. This role involves a comprehensive 24/7 rota, opportunities to gain additional skills in Anaesthetics, and engagement in quality improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have substantial Critical Care experience and are motivated to further their education and skills. Closing date for applications is October 1st, 2025.
Basingstoke Critical Care is excited to offer two posts for experienced Critical Care doctors wanting to develop their skills within Critical Care and beyond. These posts are central to delivering effective patient care at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and form part of our strategy to expand the delivery of our national peritoneal malignancy program. The post will be based in Basingstoke Critical Care Units and will involve working a full on-call pattern within Basingstoke Critical Care with opportunity to develop additional skills in Anaesthetics as agreed with the Critical Care Department.
We have 18 Critical Care beds across 2 units (CCA and CCB) supporting a 24-hour PCI service and the largest cytoreductive surgical program in the UK for primary colorectal and appendix tumours, including Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (over 300 patients annually).
Our three sites are: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of approximately 600,000 people.
