Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, a highly-regarded, sustainably-minded Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to an array of projects across the energy and engineering landscapes. They are currently searching for a talented, experienced Senior Civil Engineer, with a strong background in drainage and highways design, to join an already-established team of Water Engineers at the office based in the lively, diverse city of Manchester.

Responsibilities
  • Produce technical work for a diverse range of projects across the Water Sector
  • Author and check reports, and other such technical documents
  • Lead on a number of design projects, taking ownership at all stages, from initial inception through to successful delivery
  • Build and maintain excellent working relationships with clientele and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
  • Successfully navigate aspects of project delivery, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Provide supervision and support to other colleagues on the Water Team
  • Proactively promote company processes, procedures, and regulations, acting as a trusted member of the team
Required Skills and Experience
  • A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Considerable experience of working in a design-based role in a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority Setting
  • Experience with producing drainage strategies and systems, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
  • Demonstrable experience of working on other infrastructure projects and highways designs
  • Good working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (to include S104, S106, S38, S278)
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software systems, including Civils 3D, Revit, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, etc.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Possess Chartered Status (or actively working to achieve this)
  • A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, BIM, and Hades software packages
  • An awareness of BS 7671 standards
