Responsibilities

  • Prepare food orders ready to order from supplier.
  • Maintain stock control ensuring regular stock checks and rotation.
  • Unload and check incoming goods against official paperwork.
  • Deliver and collect orders, food, and supplies to/from wards.
  • Deal with enquiries and requests internally and externally.
  • Pack and check food orders for the ward.
  • Maintain records related to duties and stock.
  • Ensure the delivery area is kept clean and tidy.
Job description

The Catering staff ensure that all food provided complies with Food Safety Regulations and meals are appetising and attractively served.

The post holder will be expected to work as part of the wider team, providing an integrated and flexible service, and may sometimes be required to undertake duties within other areas of the Facilities Department should the needs of the service demand it. The post holder is expected to have a clear understanding and share the Mission, Values and Behaviours of the Trust which defines our culture. All staff are required to promote and adhere to these.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food orders ready to order from supplier
  • Maintain stock control ensuring that regular stock checks and rotation is carried out
  • Unload, check and sign for incoming goods against official paperwork, process and file standard order forms and advice notes
  • Deliver, issue and collect orders, food and supplies to/from wards and departments
  • Deal with enquiries/requests both internally and externally
  • Pack and check food orders for ward
  • Maintain and keep up to date records in relation to duties, stock
  • Ensure the delivery area is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Concentration will be required when operating lifting machinery and when checking goods orders
