Overview of the Job

To join our team, we are looking for a Senior Care Assistant who is committed and caring. In this position, you will ensure the comfort, dignity, and well-being of our residents in a care home setting by providing them with excellent care. Additionally, you will be crucial in overseeing less experienced employees and helping to carry out care plans customised to meet the needs of each individual.

Duties

• Provide seniors with personal care and support, including help with everyday tasks like dressing, bathing, and cooking.
• Keep thorough records of the health and welfare of the residents, making sure that care plans are adhered to and modified as needed.
• Mentor and oversee junior employees, offering direction and assistance with their everyday responsibilities.
• To guarantee a comprehensive approach to care, maintain good communication with residents, relatives, and medical staff.
• Help provide medication in accordance with established procedures.
• Encourage residents’ independence through meaningful interactions and social activities.
• Make sure that every resident of the care facility lives in a clean, safe, and friendly environment.

Skills

• Shown expertise in senior care or a related position at a care facility.
• Excellent leadership abilities with the capacity to successfully manage and inspire a team.
• Outstanding written and vocal communication abilities to engage with residents and their family in a caring manner.
• Knowledge of creating and carrying out care plans that are customised to each person’s requirements.
• Strong IT capabilities for team communication and record keeping.
