A leading care provider in York, England is seeking a compassionate Senior Carer to lead a team in delivering personalized care to residents. As a Senior Carer, lead with kindness and provide care across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain high standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may show someone how to use a walking frame, assist at the end of life, or talk to a resident’s family on the phone, always with kindness. You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities, and in administering medication. You will maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with your team. Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (or NVQ) and be prepared to work towards Level 3, with a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What is essential is your positive energy and ability to get along with people, good record keeping, and effective time management. This is a full-time position of 33 or 44 hours per week.

Ideally you will hold a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be prepared to work towards Level 3, with experience in person-centered care planning and dementia care. Excellent record keeping, time management, and a kind, considerate communication style are essential. This is a full-time position of 33 or 44 hours per week.
