Job description
Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. You will support residents across Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, delivering personalised care that respects each resident’s dignity, security and independence. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and work closely with residents and their families to ensure high-quality, person-centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement care that promotes security, dignity and independence for residents.
  • Know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants to maintain the highest standards of care and influence the team.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including using mobility aids, and support end-of-life care as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medications as required and maintain accurate care records.
  • Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Excellent record-keeping, time management, and communication skills; a positive, kind approach to residents and colleagues.
