Overview

About The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, nights, Full Time 44hrs per week, kindness will be at the core of everything you do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our residents, who are people with their own stories to tell.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Get to know our residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care; influence the rest of the team.
  • Help residents with activities such as using a walking frame, supporting end-of-life meals, and communicating with families, all with kindness.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication.
  • Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of the team.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with a background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • The essential qualities are brilliant positive energy, the ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management, and a caring, considerate communication style.
