Overview

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person-centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and undertaking staff supervisions.

Job responsibilities
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any change impacting care and care plans, ensure that new needs are met, and update written records to reflect variations.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development where required.
  • Act as a key contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.

  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

  • A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
