Role Overview

For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know our residents and their families – helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and you'll be a real influence on the rest of the team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident's family on the phone, you'll do so with a sense of kindness, above anything else.

Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication. Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement care that provides residents with security, dignity and independence.
  • Develop and maintain personalised care plans in collaboration with residents and their families.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Care Assistants to uphold the highest care standards.
  • Support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in delivering physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately.
  • Offer kindness and compassion in all interactions with residents, families and colleagues.
  • Maintain good record‑keeping and manage time effectively.
  • Communicate considerately and kindly with all parties.
Qualifications
  • Completed a Level 2 Diploma (S/NVQ) in Adult Social Care, with an intention to progress to Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Brilliant positive energy and natural ability to build relationships with people.
  • Strong record‑keeping skills and effective time‑management.
  • Demonstrated consideration, kindness and respect for residents and co‑workers.

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility in adult social care. You must recognise potential signs of abuse, harm or neglect, know what to do if concerns arise, attend safeguarding training, and report any concerns appropriately, including escalation if action is not taken.
