Job description

Please note that this is a full-time role working 38.5 hours from 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am. Full flexibility is required.

Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Responsibilities

• Plan and implement care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence, and help deliver truly personalised care plans by getting to know residents and their families.


• Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care, acting as a positive influence on your team.


• Support residents with activities and daily living tasks, including mobility, meals and communication with families, always with kindness.


• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication where required.


• Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care or equivalent; willing to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.


• Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.


• Essential: positive energy and the ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management, and clear, kind communication with residents and colleagues.
