Overview

Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Acomb. Avery is committed to supporting its teams and providing a caring, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, 2 years' experience in a similar care environment, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support the care team to create a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and identify changes impacting care and care plans; amend written records to reflect variations and contribute to person-centred care planning, including monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervision and support staff development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals; respond to reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.
