Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced designer to take ownership of projects, mentor junior colleagues, and drive innovation across our product range.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out dimensional site surveys on projects throughout the UK and in Europe.
- Attendance at design meetings, both on site and online.
- Production of general arrangement drawings.
- Production of detailed manufacturing and installation drawings.
- Coordinate design with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Production of as-built drawings.
- Mentoring & coaching of junior and mid-level colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience at a manufacturing business producing sheet metal products or structural steel.
- Have a good understanding of installation best practices.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate, both in writing and in person, in a professional manner at all levels.
- Excellent knowledge of 2D AutoCAD.
- Have a full driving license and passport, and a willingness to travel abroad for work occasionally.
- Flexibility and ability to learn quickly.
- A growth mindset and a proactive mentality.

- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Revit is advantageous.
- Relevant training/qualifications could be beneficial.
