Senior Buyer

An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham B33 requires a purchasing manager.

Senior Buyer Duties:

• Identify new suppliers (steel, wood panels, fittings etc.) and negotiate contracts and supply arrangements.
• Manage supplier performance and run quarterly reviews.
• Draft a rolling 3-year procurement strategy and develop a KPI dashboard to monitor it's progress.
• Implement stock management processes.
• Analyse ERP data and MRP recommendations.
• Line management, coaching and developments of purchasing staff.

Senior Buyer Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years as a senior buyer in a manufacturing environment.
• Supply chain and inventory management experience.
• Understanding of production planning and cycles.
• ERP / MRP knowledge.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Senior Buyer Hours:

• 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12.30pm Friday.

This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
