Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to document current processes and develop business cases for various projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and be experienced in requirements gathering and process mapping. Responsibilities include facilitating data sessions, documenting processes, and assisting in RFPs and RFIs. This role is located in Surrey, BC.

Job Description:

On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to document and determine the scope (as‑is and to‑be processes, detailed requirements) and contribute/develop business cases, RFI, etc. for multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate data gathering sessions;
• Document as‑is, including as‑is process maps
• Develop Business, Functional, and Technical Requirements;
• Develop To‑Be Process Maps
• Assist in the RFP and/or RFI process;
• Business Case
• Other Deliverables as outlined by the Manager, IS Planning
• Implementation Tasks and Deliverables, such as contributing/writing detailed design documents, and creation of test scripts. For the implementation tasks and deliverables, they will take direction from the appropriate project manager.

Qualifications:

• Excellent analytical skills;
• Experience in producing requirements, detailed design documents, and process mapping;
• Experience in Business Case development, RFI, and RFP;
• Knowledge about the utility industry and/or IT Tools such as ITSM (IT Service Management) is an asset;
• Good communication and facilitation skills;
• Effective organizational skills and demonstrated ability to coordinate priorities and deliver high‑quality and timely results under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to speak effectively in formal and informal meetings and presentations across all levels of the organization;
• Demonstrated ability to conduct research, analyze and solve problems, summarize results, and make decisions or recommendations based upon thorough analysis.
