Overview

Senior Building Surveyor

We are representing a leading consultancy with a strong and growing presence in the North-West, specialising in the industrial and commercial sectors. Operating across the UK, this consultancy delivers a full range of professional services and partners with a portfolio of high-profile developers, investors, and occupiers. Their approach is collaborative, hands-on, and commercially focused, ensuring they remain a trusted partner for complex projects and strategic asset management.

The Role

They are seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor (Senior or Associate level) to join their expanding Manchester team. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to combine consultancy responsibilities with direct client-side project work. Projects are both regional and UK-wide, covering a mix of:

  • Dilapidations and technical advisory
  • Planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
  • Project management and contract administration
  • Condition surveys and technical due diligence

Recent projects delivered by the team:

  • A multi-million-pound industrial development combining new build and refurbishment
  • A 40,000 sq. ft. commercial refurbishment, delivered as PM/EA/QS
  • A 20,000 sq. ft. refurbishment valued at £1m, acting as PM/EA
About You
  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with significant experience in the commercial / industrial sectors
  • Strong technical capability, with the ability to balance consultancy and client-side project delivery
  • Proven track record in project management, dilapidations and stakeholder engagement / negotiation
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous
  • Confident communicator with excellent commercial awareness
