Qualifications

• Registered Nurse/Midwife or Operating Department Practitioner.

• Teaching/Assessment/Mentoring experience or qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide a specialist technical and diagnostic haemostasis service.
• Identify procedures requiring extensive red cell transfusion.
• Work with senior colleagues on patient management.

Skills

Leadership evidence at Band 6 Level

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to assess and manage patient risk

Good time management and organizational skills

Knowledge of Electronic Blood Management Systems

Education
