Overview

Senior Behaviour Support Manager – Permanent Position 37 hours per week. Term Time Only.

Actual starting salary £26,073

Hours of work – Monday to Thursday: 8:30–16:30; Friday 08:30–16:00

Hednesford Valley High School is looking to appoint a Senior Behaviour Support to join our motivated pastoral team at Hednesford Valley High School. This role involves working with students, staff, families and professionals to support good behaviour in the school.

This post will require excellent communication skills to work with a wide range of SEN students. You need to be able to use ICT skills to monitor and log information and produce analysis reports to present to the Senior Leadership Team. To work with a range of staff to develop strategies to support students to change their behaviour. We require a positive person to work with students in school, leading the Student Voice in the Leadership Team, and working with Prefects.

Hednesford Valley High School is a generic Special School set in Cannock Chase, an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. We educate students on two sites, with years 7-11 at our main site and our Sixth Form is set in a dedicated building at Cannock Chase High School. We have amazing students with a range of learning needs, who are supported by dedicated staff with a passion for transforming the lives of our students. Responsibilities
  • Work with students, staff, families and professionals to support good behaviour in the school.

  • Lead the Student Voice in the Leadership Team and work with Prefects.
  • Be flexible to work across the school/sites with other student groups if required.
Qualifications and skills
  • Very good numeracy/literacy skills equivalent to GCSE C and above.
  • NVQ Level 3 or recognized equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.
  • Good ICT skills.
  • Passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students in a special school.
  • Team player who can work collaboratively with others.
