Job description
Senior Associate, Platforms and Transformation, Accounting

Location: London.

Permanent – Full time, Junior.

Join our Finance and Tax team within the Finance Management, People and Engagement division that plays a key role in delivering accurate, well‑governed, and timely financial and regulatory reporting. As part of this team, the Platforms and Transformation function focuses on improving data quality, strengthening controls, and enhancing reporting processes across Finance and Tax, partnering closely with stakeholders across the organisation to uplift governance, resolve issues, and deliver meaningful change.

While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in the advertised location.

At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. We are a global financial services group operating in 31 markets and with 56 years of unbroken profitability. You’ll be part of a friendly and supportive team where everyone – no matter what role – contributes ideas and drives outcomes.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues across Reporting, Risk, Finance and Data teams to triage data issues, assist in root‑cause investigations and gather relevant information to drive effective resolutions. You will play a key role in supporting the remediation of data issues while ensuring decisions are well documented and auditable.

As part of the wider Platforms and Transformation team you will contribute to data governance activities and improve the control environment for tax and regulatory reporting, prepare insightful metrics and maintain dashboards to track progress on recurring issues and monitor compliance within established frameworks.

What you offer
  • 1 year+ experience within banking or financial services, with skills in analysing data and summarising insights clearly for senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to provide concise updates and to alert quickly when escalations are required.
  • Strong understanding of balance‑sheet processes with an analytical mindset.
  • Proactive and organised approach, with the ability to anticipate follow‑ups, manage actions, and meet deadlines.
  • Working towards or having obtained a recognised professional accountancy qualification is preferred, but not essential.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us; if you’re excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.

What we offer

At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that’s rewarding in all the ways that matter most to you. Macquarie employees can access a wide range of benefits which, depending on eligibility criteria, include:

  • 1 wellbeing leave day per year and a minimum of 25 days of annual leave.
  • 26 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary caregivers along with 12 days of paid transition leave upon return to work and 6 weeks’ paid leave for secondary caregivers.
  • Paid fertility leave for those undergoing or supporting fertility treatment.
  • 2 days of paid volunteer leave and donation matching.
  • Access to a wide range of salary‑sacrifing options.
  • Benefits and initiatives to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing including comprehensive medical and life insurance cover.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, a robust behavioural health network with counselling and coaching services.
  • Access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities, including reimbursement for professional membership or subscription.
  • Access to company‑funded emergency and backup dependent care services.
