Job description

A Corporate Tax Associate is needed to work within a newly established Corporate Tax office for a Top-40 Accountancy firm. The ideal candidates should be experienced in managing elements of a portfolio and hold an associate-level position or equivalent.

They have a strong presence across the UK and are renowned for their commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Due to their continued success they are offering a several Corporate Tax opportunities in their new Cardiff office.

Description

  • Build and maintain tax relationships with clients including owner-managed SMEs and medium sized groups.
  • Work with Corporate Finance colleagues to provide tax input into due diligence projects
  • Work with managers on advisory projects and transaction support
  • Develop own and colleagues' professional abilities
  • Provide an exceptional level of client service
  • Prepare and review computations and liaise with specialists on technical matters
  • Manage client's corporate tax affairs including payments, enquiries and providing ad hoc advice
  • Support colleagues dealing with complex groups and technical issues

Profile

A successful Corporate Tax Associate should have:

  • An ATT/ACA/ACCA Qualification.
  • Part-Qualified or Qualified CTA.
  • Proven experience in an associate role or equivalent within a tax department (Mixed Tax or Corporation Tax).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, i.e. payroll taxes & SDLT.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using tax software and digital tools.
