Role Summary and Impact
EssenceMediacom's Analytics & Insight team houses all of the analytics, effectiveness and insight specialists within EssenceMediacom. The team’s purpose is to ensure that every media planning decision is fuelled by the best data and insights available. We deliver a data‑driven approach to media strategy, planning and activation with an emphasis on accountability and experimentation. The Data Science & Modelling team specializes in marketing mix modelling, budget setting and allocation, forecasting, brand equity modelling, launch volumetric studies and conjoint analysis, among other methods. Our goal is to transform data and analytics into actionable recommendations that drive real business impact. The UK unit comprises over 60 analysts working across more than 25 clients, analysing over £600m of communications spend annually, representing 15% of UK media spend, thereby positioning us as leading experts in our field.
Responsibilities include collecting, processing and maintaining high‑quality data, applying regression‑based and other analytical methods (e.g., MMM) to deliver statistically robust and intuitive insights, and building strong client relationships to ensure analytic projects meet business needs.
Technical expertise in regression analysis and data management is essential to support robust and efficient analysis.

• An analytical mindset, able to approach issues from multiple angles. • Highly numerate, with strong mathematical acumen. • Ability to prioritise tasks. • Experience in Market Mix Modelling. • Proficient with marketing analytics tools and techniques. • Degree or equivalent in Economics, Maths, Stats, Sciences or another numerical subject. • Advanced user of EViews or similar statistical software. • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., R, Python).
