This role is the heart of our service – the person who keeps the team connected, supported, and able to focus on delivering care to refugee and multicultural communities making a real difference in people’s lives every day.

You’ll support the Newcastle Refugee Health clinical service, assist Multicultural Health Liaison Officers, and provide key administrative support to Health Care Interpreters across the Hunter New England district.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate rostering and scheduling for clinical and administrative staff.
  • Manage purchasing, supplies, and office resources to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Provide high-level secretarial support, including diary management, correspondence, and report preparation.
  • Support meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and document distribution.
  • Provide consistent, professional, and culturally competent service to staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
