Job summary

A leading provider of energy efficiency solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage month-end accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for the Contracting Division. This role involves preparation of financial reports, budget management, and close collaboration with both finance and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting experience and strong technical skills. Position Overview:

As the Senior Accountant within Central Business Services at InstaGroup, you'll play a crucial role responsible for the month end accounts, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations of the Contracting Division and providing support to the Financial Controller across a variety of Group balance sheet reconciliations. This role will work closely with the Contracting Operations and the Group Finance teams with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. We are looking for a proactive and can-do approach, with excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

This will include:
  • Preparation of the P&L and Balance Sheet accounts for the Contracting division
  • Responsible for Divisional and Project Budgets and Forecasting across the Contracting division working closely with the Operations and Commercial team
  • Reporting and analysis of performance in the Contracting Division against Budget and Forecasts
  • Cashflow forecasting reported to Group Finance on a weekly basis
  • Reconciliation of key Group balance sheet accounts
  • Support to the Group Financial Controller and finance team as required
Skills and Experience:
  • Part or Fully qualified accountant with minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in management reporting, and financial control.
  • Strong technical skills and confidence in preparing accounts.
  • Commercially aware, analytical, and comfortable liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on approach with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement
