This full-time role involves supporting pupils in the Reception class, particularly those with complex autism, challenging behaviour, and non-verbal communication needs.   • Strong behaviour management skills are essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service required or willingness to get one.

We have a SEND Teaching Assistant vacancy at a mainstream primary school in Central Birmingham. The school is looking for a SEND support assistant with experience of working with individuals with Complex Autism, including needs such as non-verbal communication, challenging behaviour and personal care.

The role is based within the school's Reception class, working through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The school is looking for candidates familiar with developmental support of young children as well as experience in supporting autistic young children with complex additional needs such as challenging behaviour, non/pre-verbal communication and personal care.
