SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP or negotiable
Contract: Full-time / Part-Time - Term-time only
Salary: £90 - £95 per day

The Education Network are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school in Keighley. This is a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH)
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
  • Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP reviews and progress reports
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with SEND (in a school or similar setting)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
