Job summary

A leading educational recruitment agency is seeking a SEND Teacher for EYFS/KS1 to provide tailored teaching and support for pupils with complex needs. The role involves home-based planning and in-school teaching. Ideal candidates will have experience in SEND settings and confidence in personal care. Qualifications

Job description
Overview

SEND Teacher (EYFS/KS1) – Long-Term Role Until July. Home-based planning with in-school teaching. Start Date: Immediate. Salary: Main Scale Teacher Salary + SEND Allowance. Hours: Full-time, with an additional ½ day paid PPA.

Responsibilities

Teach a small, nurturing class of 6 pupils with support from 2 dedicated TAs. Provide personalised teaching and care for pupils with complex needs, including undertaking personal care as part of the role.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in EYFS and/or KS1 SEND settings
  • Confidence in supporting pupils with complex needs and personal care
  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • BSquared assessment tools
    • Safeguarding and positive behaviour support
    • Positive Handling strategies
    • Widgit communication symbols
    • EYFS Assessments and frameworks
    • Colourful Semantics
    • Attention Autism approach
Location & Schedule

Home-based planning with in-school teaching. Full-time schedule with an additional half-day paid PPA.

Salary & Benefits

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience. This is a temporary position unless otherwise stated.
