Job description
About the role: SEND / LLDD Teacher

Our programmes support learners with moderate to severe learning disabilities (SLD/MLD), focusing on Skills for Life, EHCP outcomes, and preparation for adulthood. All teaching will be on our Tier 2 Lifeskills programme with small groups of SLD/MLD learners. You will be supported by Learning Support Assistants and will develop engaging, differentiated learning opportunities across areas such as English, maths, money management, personal safety, accessing the community, leisure, and teamwork.

This is a part‑time, fixed‑term position (FTE 0.75), working 27.75 hours per week at our Guildford college, running until July 2026.

What do you need to be a successful SEND / LLDD Teacher at Activate Learning?
  • Experience of working with young people with SEND, ideally SLD/MLD.
  • Ability to evidence learner progress (RARPA knowledge desirable).
  • Creativity, patience, and resilience in supporting learners with diverse needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive, committed to helping learners build confidence, independence, and the skills they need for adulthood.
