Qualifications

Job description

Humly is seeking a committed and enthusiastic SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Carlisle, working on a 2:1 basis to support a pupil in Year 2.

This is a full‑time, longer‑term role, starting 19th January 2026 and initially running until 27th March 2026, with the potential to be extended. The role would suit an educator who values consistency, enjoys building strong relationships, and is motivated by making a meaningful difference to a child’s school experience.

The role involves providing tailored support to help the pupil access learning, manage emotions and develop positive behaviours within the classroom and wider school environment. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to implement agreed strategies that support both learning and wellbeing.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Providing 2:1 support for a pupil with additional needs

  • Helping the pupil access learning throughout the school day

Pay Structure

From £14.85 per hour
