Overview

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated, positive, and creative Tutor to support a young person in the RH12 area. This is a part-time role offering 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday (3 hours per day), with flexible scheduling to suit both the Tutor and the young person.

About the Role

You will be delivering:

  1. 5 hours of Maths tuition per week
  2. 5 hours of English tuition per week
  3. 5 hours per week exploring a subject or topic that interests the young person, helping to build confidence and engagement through personalised learning.

This young person is currently in Year 9, has a diagnosis of ADHD, and an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). They are not currently working at age-related expectations and is looking for a Tutor who can connect with her, encourage her, and support her journey back into school.

As a Tutor you will
  1. Create engaging sessions that support the young person in their learning
  2. Be sensitive to the needs of the learner and support them in growing their confidence and engagement in learning
  3. Be confident in planning maths and english sessions
  4. Record progress in weekly reports
  5. Remain organised with timesheets.
About you

  3. Experience working with learners with SEN, SEMH needs and EHCPs is highly desirable
  4. A commitment to building trust and consistency
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals involved in her care and education
Requirements

  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide references upon request
  • Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
