Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (Day-to-Day Supply)

Location: Winchester and surrounding areas
Start Date: January
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Short-term supply (via agency)

We are recruiting SEN Learning Support Assistants for day-to-day supply work through an agency in schools and alternative provisions across the Winchester area. You will support children and young people aged 4–17 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing flexible cover on both short-notice and pre-booked assignments.

This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work, varied school settings, or to gain further experience across different SEN environments.

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
  • Support pupils’ learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing
  • Follow school guidance, pupil support plans, and agency policies
  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
  • Assist with personal care where required (training provided)
  • Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, or youth work experience preferred; SEN experience desirable but not essential)
  • Confident in settling quickly into new settings
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach
