Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Steyning area. This is an exciting opportunity to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment. As an SEN TA, you will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to pupils with special educational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils individually and in small groups to meet their learning needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons adapted for SEN pupils.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Requirements for SEN TA
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN in school settings.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, including explanations for any employment gaps.
