About the role: Horizon Teachers are seeking a passionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups across all Key Stages, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Complex Needs.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide focused 1:1 and small group support to deliver targeted intervention.
  • Provide general classroom support, assisting with pupil engagement to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Support the class teacher in planning, preparation, and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Support pupils with SEND and additional needs.
  • Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and safe environment.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
  • Previous experience in a school or SEN setting (essential).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • A solid understanding of SEND conditions and how they affect learning and behaviour.
  • Confidence in supporting pupils with communication difficulties and/or physical needs.
  • A collaborative and empathetic approach, with excellent communication skills.
