Daily pay: £89-£100

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a new team of Teaching Assistants to support students aged 5‑16 with special educational needs (SEN). These students may be managing mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression, physical disabilities, communication difficulties, or emotional and behavioural challenges.

We're looking for compassionate, understanding individuals with strong behaviour management skills. You'll play a vital role in supporting students across a range of age groups and be a key part of their educational journey.

Locations: Opportunities available across Bristol, Bath, and Gloucestershire

Hours: 8:30 am–3:30 pm (may vary slightly depending on the school)

Schedule: Monday‑Friday, term‑time only

Potential for a permanent, full‑time school contract for the right candidate

Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, either in small groups or one‑to‑one
  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering a personalised curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Teaching Assistants and school staff
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students to ensure they feel safe and supported
  • Help facilitate learning activities and classwork, offering guidance and encouragement
Qualifications
  • Has a genuine passion for education and is eager to begin or continue a fulfilling career
  • Demonstrates strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Experience is welcome but not essential - if you have the passion and motivation, we'd love to hear from you
  • Previous work with SEN or challenging behaviours (professionally or personally) is a bonus but not required
