  • Main Scale + SEN1 £32,916 to £45,352 per annum
  • Start Date: April 2026 or sooner

We wish to appoint a Qualified Teacher 1 SEN point (Candidates on UPS will be considered) required for April 2026 or sooner.

North Ridge is an Outstanding specialist high school for pupils with persistent and complex special educational needs, aged 11-19 years. We area fast developing school split across two sites, that incorporates a range of student led businesses, located at our 6th Form Hub in Cheetham Hill.

We are looking for:
  • The leadership team and school governors seek to appoint a dynamic, hard working individual who will live up to our school motto of "do your best". The suitable candidate to this post will be able to teach pupils with a range of learning disability and associated needs. The successful applicant will benefit from working in a school with a positive, caring, ethos where team work is important.
About the Candidate

You will:
  • Lead your own class or a small group of classes (similar to a primary school model) tailored to your unique strengths and passions. Our students range in ability from Early Years to Year 3, and your teaching will be dynamic, hands-on, and imaginative.
  • Bring learning to life through active, practical lessons delivered via a spiral curriculum that builds and reinforces knowledge through repetition and exploration.
  • Play a vital role in helping our pupils grow into confident young adults, being as independent as possible depending on their needs. You will equip them with the social and life skills they need to thrive in their communities. At the heart of your work will be a commitment to nurturing each child’s individuality and zest for life.

If you're not an Early Career Teacher (ECT), you’ll also take on the exciting challenge of being a curriculum coordinator—leading whole-school development in a subject area.
