A community school in England is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous SEN experience, QTS/PGCE, and strong behaviour management skills. Responsibilities include adhering to school policies, creating a welcoming learning environment, and collaborating with key stage teams. This role supports students with a range of learning needs and requires effective teaching practices.
This is a maintained community school for children from 4-19 who are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join them. Students here have a wide range of learning needs and disabilities, including moderate, complex, severe, and profound or multiple issues. Many of the pupils have an additional diagnosis of autistic spectrum condition. The school has two sites, primary and secondary.
The primary phase is located in extensive grounds with purpose built play facilities and our KS3 and KS4 & 5 are co-located with mainstream school. All phases are located within a short distance of each other. Pupils and families are well supported and each of the transition points from primary to KS3 and KS4 & 5. Staff work closely together across all the phases to ensure that when a young person moves to the next point in their career, they are given all the support they need.
