You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized education plans, implement tailored strategies, and ensure that every student\'s unique needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the development of the curriculum and pedagogy, to ensure students with SEND achieve, irrespective of their individual circumstances.
• Work with others within the SEND department to monitor the provision mapping of SEND pupils, inputting and updating pupils\' provision, using the provision map software.
• Liaise with parents, teachers and external agencies to monitor the progress and provision of SEND pupils.
• Contribute to the assessment and identification of the special needs of pupils not yet on the Special Needs register.
• Work collaboratively with mainstream teachers to develop their ability to support pupils with SEND and to produce appropriately differentiated tasks.
• Work with other professionals to develop and review individual education plans (IEPs) for pupils, involving pupils, parents/carers in the process wherever possible.
• To oversee the assessment and implementation of Exam Access Arrangements, as per JQC guidelines.
• To assess the needs of pupils with potential Special Educational Needs, as directed by the SENCO.
• Support in the application of Educational Health Care Plans and facilitate the Annual Reviews of pupils with EHC plans.
• Support staff training to meet the needs of the students in the mainstream setting.
• To ensure the Academy\'s transition plans are implemented effectively for pupils with SEND at all key stages.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Special Education.
• Experience working with students with SEN.
